In fact, the 52Pi Armor Lite V5, like the official Raspberry Pi Active Cooler, has its fan rotation controlled by the system kernel based on temperature.

The official active cooler for the Raspberry Pi 5 (Raspberry Pi Active Cooler) activates the fan at the following temperatures:

1. **Below 50°C**, the fan does not spin (0% speed).
2. **At 50°C**, the fan spins at low speed (30% speed).
3. **At 60°C**, the fan spins at medium speed (50% speed).
4. **At 67.5°C**, the fan spins at high speed (70% speed).
5. **At 75°C**, the fan spins at full speed (100% speed).

When the temperature drops back below these thresholds, the fan will automatically slow down.
